Caregiver Support Program

Caregiver Support Program
A comprehensive program providing training, psychosocial support, and home-based care guidance for families caring for people with disabilities in Gaza.
Family members and caregivers play a vital role in the rehabilitation and well-being of people with disabilities. In Gaza, the ongoing conflict, displacement, and disruption of healthcare services have placed unprecedented physical, emotional, and financial pressure on families providing daily care.

The World Health Organization (WHO) recognizes caregiver education and support as an essential component of effective rehabilitation, improving long-term outcomes while reducing preventable complications and caregiver stress.

To address this need, Jusoor Al-Amal (Bridges of Hope) Association established the Caregiver Support Program to strengthen the knowledge and skills of families caring for children and adults with disabilities.

The program provides caregiver training, individual counseling, psychosocial support, home-based rehabilitation guidance, education on assistive devices, safe mobility techniques, pressure injury prevention, and daily living support strategies tailored to each family's needs.

The program serves parents, family members, and home caregivers responsible for supporting people with disabilities across Gaza.

By empowering caregivers, the program improves the quality of home care, enhances the independence of people with disabilities, reduces caregiver burden, and promotes better health and social inclusion.
You can support this program with any donation starting from just $1, helping families provide safer and more effective care for people with disabilities in Gaza.
