Home-Based Physical Therapy Program
Providing home-based physical therapy and rehabilitation services for people with disabilities and conflict-related injuries in Gaza to improve mobility, independence, and quality of life.

Physical therapy is a vital component of rehabilitation, helping people with disabilities and conflict-related injuries restore movement, improve physical function, and prevent long-term complications. In Gaza, ongoing conflict, displacement, damaged infrastructure, and transportation barriers have left thousands unable to access rehabilitation centers.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), between 49,000 and 56,000 people in Gaza require long-term rehabilitation services. Delayed access to physical therapy significantly increases the risk of permanent disability, muscle weakness, joint stiffness, chronic pain, and loss of independence.

To address this urgent need, Jusoor Al-Amal (Bridges of Hope) Association launched the Home-Based Physical Therapy Program, delivering rehabilitation services directly to beneficiaries who are unable to reach rehabilitation facilities.

The program includes functional assessments, individualized treatment plans, home physiotherapy sessions, caregiver training, therapeutic exercises, safe transfer techniques, and education to prevent secondary complications.

It serves children and adults with physical disabilities, amputees, spinal cord injuries, cerebral palsy, orthopedic injuries, war-related trauma, and older adults with limited mobility.

By bringing rehabilitation into the home, the program improves mobility, reduces pain, strengthens physical function, supports independence, and enhances quality of life.

You can support this program with any donation starting from just $1, helping deliver life-changing physical therapy services to people with disabilities across Gaza.
